We currently offer a Cosmetology, Esthiology, and Manicuring program. In addition to these programs, we offer courses in Advanced Cosmetology, Advanced Esthetics, and Advanced Manicuring. In all of our programs, our objective is to prepare students to pass the Ohio State board licensing exams as well as give students the tools they need to enter into an career.

COSMETOLOGY PROGRAM


Total: 1500 hours


We offer our Cosmetology program to full time (40 hours / week) and part time (24 hours / week) students. The approximate completion time for the full time program is 10-12 months, while the approximate completion time for the part time program is 16-18 months. The main textbook used in this program is the Milady Standard Cosmetology Textbook, Theory Workbook, Practical Workbook and Exam Review. 

COSMETOLOGY SCHEDULE
 
Full time Schedule: The first 8 weeks of the program are Monday through Friday 8:30 am-5:00 pm. For the remainder of the program students are on a rotating schedule Monday through Friday 8:30 am until 5:00 pm and Tuesday through Saturday 8:30 am until 5:00 pm.
 

Part time Schedule: Monday through Thursday 5:15 pm until 9:15 pm and Saturday 8:30 am until 5:00 pm.


Cosmetology program consists of three units as follows:
Pioneer: This unit covers the first 320 hours of the 1500 hour program. Students will be in this classroom exclusively working on hair dolls and laying the groundwork for this program. Students will benefit from lectures and live demonstrations. Students will occasionally get the opportunity to work on live models.
Progressive and Platform: After completing the Pioneer unit, students will spend the remainder of the program rotating between the Progressive and Platform units of the program. In the Progressive classroom students will continue to progress in the theory and practical portion of Cosmetology.  In the Platform classroom (student salon), students will work on clients under supervision of the Instructors. Students will also have the opportunity to work on hair dolls to complete practical work. Students must meet state requirements before working on clients.

UNITS OF STUDY


Students will demonstrate their knowledge of the program through the completion of the required practical exams.
 
The Pioneer and Progressive units of study are as follows:
Pioneer: Laying the groundwork to cosmetology. Students will study the basic principals of hair cutting, shampooing, hair styling, thermal styling, permanent waving, chemical relaxers, hair color, skin care, manicures and pedicures.
Progressive: Advancing your skills, students will continue to progress in the theory and practical portion of Cosmetology.  Students will also begin training for the State Board Examination.

ESTHIOLOGY PROGRAM


Total: 600 hours


We offer our Esthiology program to full time (32 hours / week) students. The approximate completion time is 5 months. The main textbook used in this program is the Milady Standard Esthiology Textbook, Study Guide and exam Review.

ESTHIOLOGY SCHEDULE

Monday through Thursday, 8:30 am until 5:00 pm.
 
Esthiology program consists of two units as follows:
Students will spend their program rotating between the Theory and Platform units of the program. In the Theory classroom, students will continue to progress in the theory and practical portion of Esthiology. Students will benefit from lectures and live demonstrations. Students will also get the opportunity to work on mannequins and occasionally live models. In the Platform classroom (student salon) students will work on clients under supervision of the Instructors. Students will also have the opportunity to work on mannequins to complete practical work. Students must meet state requirements before working on clients.

MANICURING PROGRAM


Total: 200 hours


We offer our Manicuring program to full time (24 hours / week) students. The approximate completion time is 2-3 months. The main textbook used in this program is the Milady Standard Nail Technology Textbook, Study Guide and Exam Review.


MANICURING SCHEDULE


Monday through Wednesday, 8:30 am until 5:00 pm.

Manicuring program consists of two units as follows:

Students will spend their program rotating between Theory and Platform units of the program. In the Theory classroom, students will continue to progress in the theory and practical portion of Manicuring. Students will benefit from lectures and live demonstrations. Students will also get the opportunity to work on mannequin hands and occasionally live models. In the Platform classroom (student salon) students will work on clients under supervision of the Instructors. Students will also have the opportunity to work on mannequin hands to complete practical work. Students must meet state requirements before working on clients.

ADVANCED COSMETOLOGY


Total: 300 hours
 
In addition to our Cosmetology program, we offer an Advanced Cosmetology program. This program is 40 hours per week and the approximate completion time is 2 months. The main textbook used in Georgie International’s program is the Milady Standard Cosmetology Textbook, Milady Business Fundamentals and Exam Review. 


Advanced Cosmetology program consists of two units as follows:
Students will spend their program rotating between Theory and Platform units of the program. In the Theory classroom, students will continue to progress in the theory and practical portion of Advanced Cosmetology. In the Platform classroom (student salon) students will work on clients under supervision of the Instructors. Students will also have the opportunity to work on hair dolls to complete practical work.

ADVANCED ESTHETICS


Total: 150 hours
 
In addition to our Esthiology program, we offer an Advanced Esthetics program. This program is 32 hours per week and the approximate completion time is 5 weeks. The main textbook used in Georgie International’s program is the Milady Standard Esthiology Textbook, Milady Business Fundamentals and exam Review. 


Advanced Esthetics program consists of two units as follows:
Students will spend their program rotating between Theory and Platform units of the program. In the Theory classroom, students will continue to progress in the theory and practical portion of Advanced Esthetics. In the Platform classroom (student salon) students will work on clients under supervision of the Instructors. Students will also have the opportunity to work on mannequins to complete practical work.

ADVANCED MANICURING

In addition to our Manicuring program, we offer an Advanced Manicuring program. This program is 24 hours per week and the approximate completion time is 1 month. The main textbook used in Georgie International’s program is the Milady Standard Nail Technology Textbook, Milady Business Fundamentals and exam Review. 


Advanced Manicuring program consists of two units as follows:
